Let me explain
As you all may have noticed, I have not done a show for over a week now. This is not your fault so don't worry. In the past, I have taken time off from doing shows for various reasons: getting married, vacations, moving, illness, death (not my own), brain exhaustion. This could turn out to be one of those times of brain exhaustion. Every couple of months I go through this and I usually bounce back. On over a dozen occasions I have thought about stopping the production of Darrin Dishong's Drive Home, but have always returned. I am not sure if this is one of those times. I would never say after only 1 week off that I will not continue the show again, but if I do decide, you guys will be the first to know. I will promise you this, even if I decide to stop doing the show, there will be at least one more. I would never break up with all of you through a letter. I would want to do it through my voice.
Ok, I love you, Bubye,
Darrin

Shoot. And I thought it was just starting to pick up some momentum with the sponsor acquisition and all. :-(
Hang in there...I'll (as will most, I'm sure!) "stay tuned!"

Darrin I can certainly understand the "pod fade". Life is fucking busy enough without being tied down to a daily chore like this. When I hear you talk about walking your dogs every day, I remember when I used to do that too. One day I realized my dogs were getting old, and that the daily walk wasn't as necessary. I was so relieved. That said, I really enjoy listening to your show. I don't even read the Apple news because I just think "Darrin will tell me". You are like a friend.... that I never met. Whatever you decide, I will understand. I will always appreciate your efforts.

Darrin,
I've pretty much listed to every show. You sometimes ask why we listen. I guess it's a bit like reality TV. We get to peek in your life.. you are like a friend that most of us haven't met, but we feel like we know you.
If you do hang it up, I thank you for the entertaining podcast. You have to do what you need to do. If you keep making shows.. I'll keep listening.

Hey Darrin, we miss ya! I know what it's like to need time off for mental and/or physical recuperation! I have had to stay off my computer for 2 months due to incredible pain from a disc in my neck! I'm finally feeling better, and slowly starting to resume work using new habits, but if I didn't take this rest, I would have been looking at surgery! What I'm tryin' to say is - we all need to do what we gotta do to stay healthy and sane.
I love yer show, and will stay subscribed however long you need to give it a rest. If it's not fun anymore then you should stop. Whatever you end up doing, we just want ya to be happy.
C-Ya, Luv-Ya,

I would like to echo what Dave said, except that I haven't hurt my neck.
No, there is no time. Let me sum up.
I hope you are well, man. Hit us up some time.
